Should i play JV basketball as a junior in high school?

Is it common too see many juniors play Junior Varsity basketball? I will be a junior next year.

7. It is not very common to see juniors on the JV. You should try out for the Varsity first. If you don't make it and they suggest you play JV, that means that they have plans for you on the Varsity as a SR. Generally kids who play JV as juniors are kids in need of development and playing time and not quite good enough to be in the playing rotation on the Varsity. It would usually mean the Varsity is a SR heavy team that year. Playing JV as a junior would not be the worst case scenario at least you would still be in the program.

9. Yeah its more common than you think. There is nothing wrong with it either. I played JV as a junior and i thought it was more fun cause I got alot more playing time and i dominated ;) hah but anyways i still dressed varsity and played varsity when they needed me. So you should do whatever will make you have the most fun. Play JV and if you excell, your coach will move you up to varsity. It will all work out in the end!
10. theres no problem im going 2 be a junior next year and i will play in jv so in senior i will make it 2 varsity
