How do I switch schools (junior year) if I don't live in the city where the school is?

I'm in my junior year, and because me and my family have signed the papers to sell the house, I am going to the new high school already. It's only september, but I want to switch back to my old school. I still live in the city with the old school. I move in a week, but how can I still go to the old school? I have excellent grades and score advanced on the MCAS almost every year. I really need help :(

  1. Ask at your old school for a variance./
  2. If you are moving residence, then you simply need to get the two schools to agree to allow you to complete your year with the old school. That is not as easy as it sounds, but it is the first step. If you are staying in one district but want to go to another school, your parents or guardian should initiate a request to attend the school of your choice. It doesn't have to be difficult, but there will be lots of questions to answer and your current academic standing could be a factor in being approved or not.
